put a pretty flower in my hair

I dont want
your diamond ring
just put a pretty flower in my hair
i dont want you to take me
to no expensive restaurant
lets just walk to the Forrest
and watch the tree's and birds
put on a show
lets turn off our thoughts
and listen to the stillness of our spirits
don't even think for one minute
that you intelligence will impress me
because only the size of you heart
will make me weak in the knees
i will never measure your humanity
by your length of social influence
only your ability to love
your physical strength will not take my breath away
but your ability to use it to protect the weak will
your ability to endure pain and still forgive
will surrender my affections to you
more than your childish charm
so quit arrogantly strutting your eloquence
and gently kiss me on my forehead
till i fall asleep

Us. Seekers of Beauty

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Know that brokeness
is the passage way to wholeness

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Know that our imperfections
Are the rare contributors to our perfection

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Understand that our vulnerability
Is the manifestation of strength

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Try never to use Love as a weapon of destruction
But a force to heal humanity

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Lose our way sometimes
But realize that what is worth Loving, fighting and living for is intangible

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Will forget to be hopeful or courageous
But NEVER to smile

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Carry no wisdom in our back pockets
Just scabs from healing wounds

Us. Seekers of Beauty
Can tread religiously through life
But never forget that to Live is an Art
